No response over on GetSatisfaction where I had a desparate attempt to free my own content from Vox.
So... I am back going back to Blogger: http://dropbars.blogspot.com/
At least Blogger has good ethics about its users' content: http://buzz.blogger.com/2008/12/your-blog-your-data.html
1. API for publishing from third party applications
2. RSS feeds for groups (http://www.vox.com/reader/groups/)
2'. RSS feeds for VoxWatch
3. Access Statistics for groups
4. Ability to run scripts
5. Integraiton with Librarything
6. Less VOX centric. open up!
Apart from that, VOX is a nice blogging platform.
Keep up the good work!
A new day at Vox and a cool new feature: Vox Groups Quite similar to Livejournal's communities.
I have created a few groups about topics that are dear to me:
Looking forward to seeing how Vox groups turn out.
Many thanks to Google for caching my archived pages. I have rescued all the posts on my now deleted blog. All the content tagged in here as archive.
It covers stuff like the charity bike ride and run the Sahara desert in support for The Prince's trust (nearly £2800 raised!), a complete disaster riding the BHF South Downs Way Randonnee, A couple of rides in the Cotswold, taking part in yet another charity ride (ABC Classic Oxfordshire ride) with my daughter, aged 4 (she was riding on the trailer bike), the Dunwich Dynamo, Riding in Provence, taking part in the Cumberland challenge on a very windy and wet day, 2 half marathons, random stuff and random posts bout training. i.e. 2006
Now... Vox, please allow for proper import from other blogging platform. That will save a phew people some sweat ;-)
Well... the cheque has not been cashed in so I am assuming that my entry for the Bealach na ba Challenge has not been sucessful. The event is full. Time to look for a replacement event in September... There is always the Cumberland challenge - I might even hope for better riding conditions than in 2006 (oops I have just realised that Vox's blog import does only import recent entries. Grr... ).
I know, I know... only a handful of people are reading this boring blog but I miss the ability to track page access to my blog. Anybody know how to add this? Is this a planned feature?
After trying out Vox for a good few weeks, I have decided to stick with it. Here my new address: http://eatcyclerunsquash.vox.com/
And the RSS feed: http://eatcyclerunsquash.vox.com/library/posts/atom.xml
Well, I am testing this. My Livejournal was created and quickly forgotten. One Vox feature allows for cross-posting to LiveJournal. Nice.
