If you could do anything you want tomorrow, what would it be?
Submitted by Becca-Pink.I would get on my bike and ride around the Lake District stopping at leisure to fill up on warm beverages, cakes, beans on toast and take plenty of pictures. Sadly I don't take enough pictures when I am out on my bike.

What was your biggest cooking disaster?
Cassoulet with home made confit of goose. It put me off cooking for a long while in 2007. Mid 2008 and it still stands proud as the worst dish I cooked. Cassoulet is normally a safe dish in my hands.
What's your favorite type of cheese? Or, if you don't like cheese, why not?
Submitted by Draegon Scribe.
My favorite cheese is picodon from Vernoux. a goat milk cheese from a little village in the Ardeche region. I first and last ate picodon in Vernoux passing the village on the Ardechoise Gorge-Ardeche bike ride in 2007. It was wonderful. Goes very well with some Ardeche saucisson.

What was the best blog post you wrote this year? What was the best post or blog you read?
I don't think I have written anything striking so I am leaving myself out.
Looking back at what I have in Google reader, many of the posts earmarked for special praise have been about food.
Sardines Confites (Les Cuisines de Garance)
A recipe for Japanese curry (Eat Drink One Woman)
Sweet and sour cucumber and wakame pickles (Just Hungry)
Cornish Piscie's little experiment with sigost (Cornish Piscie's blog)
The blog that attracted the most stars and therefore is my blog of the year: (drum rolls...) Tasca da Elvira
What was the best movie you saw this year?
The Science of Sleep. I know... I know... Not a 2007 film but it is the best film I saw in 2007 ;-)
Quirky and very very funny. I loved it.
